The Algerian international Ismaël Bennacer was seriously injured at the level of his right knee, in the match between his team AC Milan and its rival Internazionale, in the semi-final match of the Champions League last May, which doctors expected at the time that he would be away for at least 6 months.
The Italian coach Stefano Pioli stated a few days ago about the extent of the player’s response to the treatment, in which he said:”Bennacer is doing well, we spoke to him a few days ago and this is the observation we made. We will begin preparation with him in mid-October. However, we do not have a date for his exact return”.
But yesterday Tuesday October 3rd the well-known Italian journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio, has just revealed that estimates are counting on a return of Ismaël Bennacer towards the end of 2023, probably in December.

It must be remembered that the Algerian national team will have a date with the African Cup of Nations scheduled to be held in Côte d’Ivoire early next year.

So will Djamal Belmadi seek help from Bennacer despite the lack of competition, or he will replace him with a player whose level may be close to that of the jewel “Ismaël”?
