The African Football Confederation reveals the hosts of the 2025 and 2027 African Cups of Nations.

The executive committee of the African Football Confederation announced yesterday that Morocco has been chosen to host the 2025 African Cup of Nations, after Algeria withdrew its candidacy file one day before the announcement of the host country for this major football event.

To remind, Morocco won the right to host the African Cup of Nations for the second time in its history, which will be the next edition in 2025. The last time Morocco hosted such a major football event was in 1988. Morocco’s bid included six stadiums, including the Moulay Abdallah Stadium in Rabat, the Tangier Stadium, the Agadir Stadium, the Fez Stadium, the Marrakech Stadium, and the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca .

The executive committee of the African Football Confederation added also yesterday in the same meeting that held in Egypt that : Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda will host the 2027 African Cup of Nations, making this the first edition of the tournament to be hosted by three countries in Africa .

in light of this decisions and events that are happening in the African football house , the president of the African Football Confederation ”patrice motsepe” expressed his pride in Morocco’s honorable performance in the previous edition of the World Cup, considering it an African and Arab achievement. He also expects a stunning organization from Morocco in the African Cup of Nations, which it will host. As he added, this organization will be in favor of Morocco, especially in its joint file with Spain and Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup.
