The parisian club Paris Saint Germain announced today officially the signing of the French international Ousmane Dembele, coming from Barcelona. The player signed a 5-season contract that extends until June 2028. The Spanish and French clubs reached an agreement for the player’s transfer for €50.4 million. The 26-year-old French wing had renewed his contract with the Spanish giant last year until 2024 after the expiration of his previous one.
The player also expressed his excitement about this transfer, saying: “I am very happy to join Paris Saint-Germain and I am excited to play in these new colors. I hope to continue the grow up here and make all the fans of the club proud “.
President of the club, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, commented on the player’s joining, saying: “We are delighted to welcome Ousmane Dembele to Paris Saint-Germain, where he will be an important player for our club. The passion and determination that he showed when he joined us were fantastic. We are also proud to have another player who has won the World Cup.” Al-Khelaifi also added that the club is working on reorganizing its team and they hope to entering a new historical era.
As a reminder, Dembele who is now considered as a Parisian is one of the most important wings in the world, known for his great speed and disruptive movements against the opponent’s defense. Among the achievements of this Frenchman with his clubs and his country’s team are: the German Super Cup with Borussia Dortmund in 2016, the Spanish King’s Cup with Barcelona, the Spanish League in the 2017-2018, 2018-2019 seasons, and the World Cup with the French team in 2018.
