Algerian national coach Djamel Belmadi announced the list of players called up for the October training camp last Friday night.
The list witnessed the presence of new faces in the national team, such as Amine Gouiri, player of the French club Stade Rennais, and Mohamed Bachir Belloumi, player of the Portuguese club SC Farense.
More than that the list witnessed the return of Islam Slimani, Houssem Aouar and Haitham Loucif.
Yesterday morning, Djamel Belmadi held a press conference at the national teams training center in Sidi Moussa, in which he stressed the importance of the two matches that the Algerian national team will play this month against Cape Verde and Egypt.
Belmadi also spoke about the new players, such as Gouiri, Bachir Belloumi, or even Larouci, who was not called up this month due to a lack of a file for converting his sports nationality.
He also took the opportunity to delve into the subject of AC Milan player Yassine Adly and Rayan Cherki, the Olympique Lyonnais player, and stressed that the two players had not taken any step to play for Algeria.
On another topic, the national coach touched on the issue of international players active in the Mobilis First Division, such as Youssef Belaili, Adlan Guedioura, Djamel Benlamri and others, and stressed that the doors of the national team are open to them on the condition that they present amazing levels and be prepared in all aspects.
Belmadi added that the presence of these international players with their experience in the local league will develop its level and will benefit local and young players.
As for Bennacer, he said that he is in constant contact with him, especially since the player is receiving treatment at the Aspetar Center in Doha, near where coach Belmadi lives, and he hopes that the Milan player will return before the end of the current year so that he can join the warriors’ squad in the AFCON, which will be held in Côte d’Ivoire early next year.
In view of the previous matches of the Algerian national team, the Algerians hope that our national team will return to positive achievements and results in official competitions.
