The Swiss chapter of Mohamed El Amine Amoura’s journey is coming to an end; he won’t be staying. Yesterday, the Algerian bid his farewell to the club that provided him a home for two seasons. Over this span, he netted 17 goals and contributed 5 assists in a total of 63 matches, spanning various competitions.
The Final Adieu
Through his Instagram account, Amoura conveyed his gratitude to the Lugano supporters with a heartfelt message: “Dear Black and White fans, the time has come to bid farewell. I extend my heartfelt gratitude for the affection you’ve showered upon me. My thanks also go to my teammates and the staff for their invaluable support. You’ve made me feel like part of the family, and I can’t thank you enough. I wish you the best of luck for the remainder of the season. You will forever hold a special place in my heart.”
The Algerian is now setting his sights on Belgium, where a four-season contract with Union Saint-Gilloise awaits him. The transfer is valued at 4 million euros. As a reminder, the 23-year-old player embarked on his Swiss journey in August 2021, signing a four-year deal after his tenure with ES Sétif.
